There are four colours of LED (stands for Light Emitting Diode) that are used in skincare, but I am focussing on red LED which is proven to repair cells, increase collagen and elastin production, and can reduce inflammation by increasing the metabolic activity of fibroblasts, a type of cell in the skin.
I have been using this mask a roughly four times a week since I was sent it a couple of years ago. It is ten minutes of my day that I really look forward to in the evening. It is designed to be strapped on so that you can walk around with it, but I am always a little nervous of keeping my eyes open, so I tend to lie flat and use the ten minutes as an opportunity to be still and relax without my phone to distract me. I also prefer lay it over my face rather that strapping it on so that I avoid any indentations. Charge wise, it seems to last forever, I have only had to charge it a handful of times in the past couple of years. It is best used on cleansed skin, although I have been known to use it after my evening skincare routine. Just make sure you aren’t wearing any make-up as it can interfere with the light penetration. At £279, it is an investment, but I think it is worth it if you consider you are gaining relaxation time as well as the skin benefits!

Your neck and chest are exposed to the sun and the elements just as much as your face, but rarely get as much love. I know I am often guilty of neglecting my decolletage and it’s one area that I have really started to notice the sun damage done in years gone by. I love the idea that I am helping my neck with just ten relaxing minutes, 3 to 4 times a week. I tend to use the neck mask at the same time as the face mask. 95% of users have reported tighter, smoother, firmer skin after using it.

As we age and lose collagen, our lips start to lose their plumpness. The LED Lip Perfector is the first of it’s kind and has been designed with 4 wavelengths of LED light therapy across 56 individual bulbs to help you achieve a fuller lip with fewer lines and wrinkles in just 3 minutes. Make sure your lips are free of product, pop it in your mouth like a giant dummy, and switch it on. Three minutes a day will help lift feather or smoker’s lines, smile lines, sad lines, increase fullness and even out lip tone to bring back a youthful flush. It’s also for anyone who wants plumper, fuller and even-toned lips. As someone who is constantly thinking about (& deciding against!) a tiny amount of lip filler, I was thrilled to try a product that might help in a non-invasive (and painfree!) way. I keep mine next to my bed and put in in for three minutes before I pop my retainer in at night.
