Free People Summer

In collaboration with Free People – AD

Summertime is my favourite time of year to work with FreePeople. I really LOVE their designs, and as I approach 45, I have to be honest and say that I’m really grateful that they still want to work with me. I think it says a lot about the brand. It’s true, fashion shouldn’t have an age limit, but as most of us know, as we get older there are parts of us that we may not feel as confident about and so we look for pieces that flatter us in different ways. The pieces I have selected this month have been a joy to wear, and I hope that they show you that there shouldn’t be exclusions to where you shop. It’s just about finding pieces that make you feel GOOD.

X’s and O’s Midi Dress – 4 colours – £108

*Remember you can shop any of the pieces by double clicking the image or the text*

This beautiful dress comes in four different colours (I have it in black too) and is a very light and comfortable cotton which has been perfect for the heatwave. It will definitely be coming on holiday with me. You could pop it on over a swimsuit, or wear with a fresh tan and some gold sandals to dinner.

Edie Dress – 5 colours – £158
Under the Palm Tote Bag

The Edie Dress is another lovely style of summer dress (that comes in 5 colours) which I’ve loved wearing. It is a little on the long side for me at the back, so I do have to wear it with my platform mules, but it is on my list of things to have altered, as I want to be able to wear it with flats too. It would be perfect for 5’7 and above. I have accessorised the look with this gorgeous tote bag, which holds so much. I did an emergency dash to Lidl the other night to get ONE thing, and it turned into an unexpectedly big shop (doesn’t it always!) and only had this bag with me. It didn’t let me down, I couldn’t believe how much it held!

Pretty Dayz Co-off- 4 colours- £118

It’s all about the co-ord this Summer. This one shows a sliver of tummy and is just the prettiest design. Do have a look at the other colours too, they are so lovely.

Hope Dress – 2 colours – £118

I have a loose rule that I tend to stick to, which is, if I’m showing my legs, then I like to keep my arms covered and vice versa. There are always exceptions to my rules, of course, but this dress follows my rule and it’s one of those really ‘easy to dress up or down’ pieces. I love with it my chunky sandals for daytime and swap to a pair of heels for the evening. I am really sorry to say that my bag has since sold out.

Azure Maxi Dress – 6 colours – £118

This dress is unbelievably comfortable on those very hot days. It’s made from a lovely cheesecloth cotton. Perfect for throwing on when you want to keep cool and flop around the house.

Kalina Printed Midi Dress

Finishing with this showstopper of a dress, which I loved wearing. I received so many lovely compliments when I wore it and made me feel rather fabulous. The power of a good dress should never be underestimated 😁
