My new season edit

I really love this time of year when our Summer sandals and dresses are packed away to make room for our Autumn/ Winter favourites. I like to take stock at this time of year so that my wardrobe is uncluttered and streamlined. I do a big clear out for charity and get a little ruthless about the things I keep. I know a lot of people assume that I have a huge wardrobe, but the truth is I don’t. I have two short rails, 5 shelves in a cupboard, and one chest of drawers, so I do have to be very disciplined, or I get myself in a real mess trying to keep things tidy. I try to stick to a one in, one out policy. I want to be able to see all my clothes, so I don’t forget I own things.

This month I’m trying to identify the holes in my wardrobe and will focus on saving for those items that I know will come out every year. I am donating 11 pieces from my wardrobe to the Early Bird X Smart Works charity event, so do keep a lookout for the details of that on my instagram, as there are some really great pieces up for sale. I will also be selling some of my wardrobe on my account @chloelovestosell. Most of the sizes are 6/8 and I am a shoe size 5, so if that’s good for you, make sure you follow the account.

If like me, you are looking to fill a few gaps in your wardrobe, or inject some newness, I have done a little round up of a few pieces I have spotted recently. As it’s Second Hand September, think about seeking out similar items pre-loved. I managed to bag a great Perfect Moment’s ski jacket for our trip next year, from the site HEWI (Hardly-Ever-Worn-it) for a fraction of the cost of a new one.

Someone asked me this week to keep a lookout for a similar denim shirt to my Isabel Marant one. Do check out this one, not bad for £29.50! Also, if you are looking for a new sweatshirt to throw on for the school run, do have a look at this one. It’s a similar shape to my UCLA one you all love and works so well over gym leggings. I am pleased to say that a few of you have messaged to say how thrilled you are with these wide leg jeans I was raving about this week. They really are an absolute steal at £24.99.

Happy Browsing on this very wet Tuesday.

Love,

Chloe x
