Wardrobe Staple #1 – The Breton

Whenever I wear a breton top, my messages on Instagram go crazy asking me where it’s from and I know that I disappointed quite a few of you when I wore this out of stock sweatshirt (found on Amazon) the other day. So I thought I would put together an edit of bretons that ARE available!

We are going to be staying in the UK this Summer, but have quite a few trips planned to keep us busy, so there will be a lot of packing and unpacking. My wardrobe essential for any break where the weather might be unpredictable is a breton top. It’s one of those no-brainer packing pieces and when paired with my favourite jeans, always makes me feel pulled together.

What do I look for ?

I tend to look for relaxed style tops with a boxy cut. They shouldn’t be too fitted or embellished, I think simple is best when it comes to the breton. For more fitted styles, consider sizing up for a looser fit. If I had to choose just one from this selection I think I would have to opt for the Cos version. It ticks all my boxes.
