Mood Dressing with Amazon Fashion

*This post was written in collaboration with Amazon Fashion- AD*

I’ve realised recently that I am a mood dresser. Some days I dress to try and lift my mood and sometimes I dress to match my mood. Here are a few ways I dressed to suit my mood during another month of lockdown.

Outfit 1 –  I’m at home, so I want to feel comfortable yet pulled together for a day of Zoom meetings and home schooling.  I find when I’m not in the mood to dress up, but want to feel a little more pulled together, the humble striped shirt will do the job nicely. I have paired it with a pair of skinny jeans from Amazon’s own fashion label ‘Find’ and a pair of comfy white trainers from Puma. The jeans have a high rise with a zip closure and a frayed hem, which I always prefer because I usually have to cut an inch off. I’m wearing the shirt open and untucked, a skinny jean works well for my frame to get that balance of volume on the top vs fitted on the bottom. I’ve added a black lace camisole and some bold gold jewellery to finish off the look.

*Sizing info – I am wearing a Medium in the Shirt and jeans XS*

Outfit 2 – Another day at home, but today my mood needs an outfit that is 100% comfortable with colours or patterns that will soothe and calm. I reach for one of my favourite Amazon Fashion finds. My tie-dye sweat set from The Drop. I love the shape of the jogging bottoms (I wear an XS) and the sweatshirt (I wear a size Medium) It gets to bedtime and I could quite happily jump straight in wearing it because it’s so comfortable. *I am afraid that the set I am wearing has sold out as I predicted, but there are other colourways available and there is a chance they will restock it*

Outfit 3 – Today’s mood is somewhere in the middle. My go-to easy going outfit for a mood like this is a good pair of jeans and a Breton top. I was thrilled to find this Breton top from Find. I love the dropped puff sleeve which gives it a more relaxed feel and a fresh update compared to the fitted arms of my other stripe tops. I have paired it with both grey skinny jeans from Find and my light blue crop Levis (in Montgomery Baked)

Outfit 4 – We have woken up to snow in London and for the first time in ages I feel so full of excitement. I know my outfit needs to be practical and keep me warm, but I want to wear something that reflects my joyful mood. So I pull out my red blanket scarf to inject colour and fun. I wear my Commando leggings, because I know they keep me warmer than anything else, and my Aigle wellies (mine have sold out on Amazon, but keep checking back here in case they are restocked) a black knit from the Men’s department and a black Meraki coat. I finish my look with a black cable knit hat from Amazon Essentials, a red check blanket scarf and a bold red lip.
