For the past month I have really been enjoying a gin and tonic with my mum. Not every night, I tend to save myself for Thursday- Sunday. It’s become a lovely ritual for us and signals that down tools moment. I am really enjoying the Pink Malfi Gin (Currently £25 here) and the Hortus Rhubard and Gin from Lidl. (I suspect that this won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but I love it!)
We have been drinking our G&Ts in some very beautiful glasses, with extremely thin stems (I think they are Burgundy glasses and were a very special wedding present many years ago) and I know one shouldn’t save anything for best, but I am far too clumsy and it’s only a matter of time before I break one of them. So I have been thinking of buying some dedicated gin glasses and thought I would share my findings here. There are some really good deals on at the moment with Black Friday looming, and I have to admit I got slightly carried away and ended up including some gorgeous water glasses (or wine goblets) I found in the La Redoute sale in this selection. I prefer to drink my gin in a big balloon style glass with a long stem and I am looking for something a little bit different. It dawned on me that gin glasses would make a lovely gift too!
And if you have a Sainsbury’s nearby, they have these rather lovely, glasses for £3.50 each! Bargain.
Love,
