The Combat Boot Edit

I had a feeling that this season’s chunky pull on boots wouldn’t work on me, but I always like to try something before I can put it to bed, especially when it’s a look that I’ve admire on others. So I ordered a pair from H&M (now sold out) and tried them on with dresses and jeans and sure enough I felt like a clodhopping clown. (I’ve also realised that I’m too old for pull on boots, I nearly dislocated my good shoulder trying to get them off!)

So it’s back to lace up chunky boots for me. Last winter I bought a pair of boots from New Look which were so perfect. They were incredibly comfy and I know that so many of you bought them and loved them too. Unfortunately I seem to have lost one, so I’m looking to upgrade to a leather pair this season. I’ve ordered the Vagabond pair from Office, but I’m very tempted by the All Saints versions in this edit. (some of you may remember the girl on the train!)

So here are my findings. I’m not feeling studs or anything with too much hardwear. I want something chunky but simple and stylish.
