There are two items that Topshop get so right. Dresses and denim. It’s fair to say I live in my Topshop straight jeans. I find them so comfortable and love the shape of the straight leg with it’s high waist. Since Teddy’s arrival (our new puppy, in case you missed it!) I have found that I am slightly restricted to wearing jeans, shorts or shorter dresses, as he’s rather fond of grabbing, running and ripping a flappy floaty maxi number. So while we are in the puppy stage, this dress was a safe choice for the summery days ahead. I tend to opt for softer colours and ditsy prints when it comes to florals and I love the neckline of this dress. The puff sleeve is also the perfect amount of puff for me. I have to be very careful with a puff sleeve. I find there’s a fine line between a romantic puff and a quarterback! In terms of sizing, I would suggest sizing up with this dress if you don’t want it to be too tight around the hips and arms.
Wearing the Ecru Floral Poplin Tea Dress – now £32
These straight jeans are new in and are part of Topshop’s Considered range which is designed with lower-impact materials, eco-friendly production methods and certified suppliers. I love this bleach wash for the summer months. I have paired them with this blush pink satin tie-front shirt which is now £16. It has a really lovely sleeve, but be warned it is short in the body so would need to be worn with higher waisted jeans.
My most successful Topshop purchase recently was this stripe shirt. It has been very popular and restocked a few times, and although there are only a few sizes left, I thought it deserved a mention. I am wearing it with the new considered jeans and have knotted it, but it looks just as good worn loose over a bikini or jeans.
Thanks for stopping by.
