Gone are the days of clothes shopping for my girls, but I do still shop for Charlie’s wardrobe. He is fairly easy to please, but does has a few firm rules which I stick to. The fabrics have to be soft and loose fitting. He hates anything tight and won’t wear anything that feels stiff against his skin. That rules out denim jeans, shirts and hard shoes and leaves us with jogging bottoms, t-shirts, sweatshirts and trainers. Easy…Just don’t throw any kind of event with a smart dress code into the mix. That would require a shopping trip and bribery!
I am not sure if Charlie’s style has been slightly influenced by his sisters, but if I think about their wardrobes they seem to follow the same rules. It’s all about casual comfort for the SS clan. The one good thing about all of them is that their wardrobes are minimal. They tend to wear their clothes until they fall apart. The girls get clothes for Christmas and birthdays, and I tend to to treat them on the rare occasions that they are shopping with me and see something they love, but other than that if they want something, they save up their pocket money to buy it.
As part of my partnership with Amazon Fashion, I was asked to do a feature on children’s clothing. Funnily enough, it’s probably the preferred online destination to cater for the girls needs since they love the branded leisurewear, but I have focussed on little boys for this post. I discovered that Amazon Fashion has so many great quality, reputable brands for kids, and some really good discounts. They also have great basics at really affordable prices and we were spoilt for choice looking for Charlie. He has lived in the pieces we chose. The puffer jacket he chose himself and it has been such a good buy. He has worn it every day since it arrived (no exaggeration!) The cloudform trainers from Adidas were also a hit and a few of his friends have asked him where they can buy them. *heartmelt*
I thought I would have a look for some other bits and pieces.
We are heading to the slopes this February half term. The last time we went skiing as a family was almost four years ago, so none of the children’s ski clothes fit them. I have bought Charlie this North Face jacket which has arrived and is great.
I also really liked this one, which is currently half price.
And if anyone has a little one they are taking to the slopes, then I thought this outfit was very sweet.
I am very excited to say that I am going to be working with Amazon Fashion for the next few months, so there will be plenty more edits to come.
Thanks for reading,
Love,
