I am sad not to be able to share the before photos with you here as I love seeing interiors transformation photos on instagram, but (in case you hadn’t heard) I lost my entire cameral roll at the weekend during a phone upgrade.
I decided to set about painting our snug walls (which were a very dark charcoal colour) and floorboards (a very dark brown) a few weeks ago. The walls and floors were never a good combination and although we enjoyed our cosy time over at the ‘dark side’, it was time for a refresh. I got a rough quote for the work that needed to be done and we were looking at £2K so I decided to do it myself! It’s taken several weeks as I had to fit it in around work and life, but I have really enjoyed it and even though I am not quite finished, I am so pleased with the result.
It’s really hard to photograph (especially at 4pm on an Iphone) so what you see here in terms of paint colours will never be a true reflection of the colour in the flesh. This is something I have learnt from many nights spent pinning wall colours on Pinterest and then testing lots of paint colours!
But I thought it would be useful to detail the paints I used and where everything is from for those interested.
