For this month’s partnership with Topshop, I chose a few pieces that have already proven to be very useful and infinitely wearable.
First up the khaki shacket. A piece that no wardrobe should be without. It’s the perfect addition to most outfits and will be so useful in the transitioning months ahead of us. My existing khaki jacket which I have had for years didn’t have pockets and as much as I loved the colour of it, well, frankly is there any point in owning a jacket without pockets? I think not…
So when I spotted this Khaki shacket in the Petite section of Topshop during my personal shopping appointment, I was thrilled to bits. It seems to go with so much of my wardrobe and I really love being able to head out with just my phone, my keys and my coin purse which fit neatly into the ample pockets. The jacket does also come in a regular size and I took a size XS as I found it to be slightly oversized.
I have worn it here over a simple black sleeveless satin split dress which I thought was such a lovely shape and a bargain for £39. I love the simplicity of a black dress, and it’s one of those items that you can wear time and again. Pair it with heels for an evening out, as I did earlier this month, or with flats and a khaki jacket for a casual daytime look. I found the dress true to size and bought a 6.
One of my go-to outfits for most occasions is a ‘nice top and jeans’. I often get asked to do a blog post on going out tops, but I find that they aren’t as easy to find as they should be. However, this Linen Blend Button Down Prairie Top one ticks all the boxes for me. I really love the way it sits so well on the top of jeans and doesn’t require any tucking in. I also really love this Prairie style with tops and dresses, I find the neckline really flattering. It also comes in black (£29) which I think would be really useful.
This top was actually selected by the Personal Shopper at Topshop during my Personal Shopping appointment. Something I enjoyed much more than I thought I would. I have always thought of myself as quite an efficient shopper, and can scan a big store like the flagship Topshop Oxford Circus and know fairly quickly which pieces will work for me and my wardrobe. My mum tells me that I have always been this way. She would take me to the shops when I was a young girl and I would walk in, scan the floor with my eyes and say, ‘No, next shop Mum’. I would also pick out pieces for her in charity shops that I knew would look great on her. I still remember her saying, ‘you should think about doing this for a living Chlo’ Fast forward thirty years and I guess, in a strange way, I am! This trait seems to be something I have passed on to both of my girls. They both have the knack of spotting something they like quickly and saying no to the rest and our shopping trips are always over fairly quickly as a result. So the idea of having someone to help me shop has never really appealed to me. But it was part of my contract with Topshop, so I made the appointment and went along with an open mind.
I walked in to find organised rails of pieces that had been selected for me by the Personal Shopper based on a short brief that I had given them prior to my appointment. Everything was in the right size and there were accessories and shoes to try on with my pieces. It was so fun! I quickly got trying on and Hayley was on hand to fetch anything I wanted to add or if I needed a different size.
Here are a few of the pieces I tried on…
It was really fun and I loved trying on pieces that I probably wouldn’t have chosen for myself, but I ended up taking home the Rellik Wedge Mules because they were SO comfortable and seemed to go with so many of the outfits I tried on, the Petite Khaki Shacket and the Sleeveless Satin Split dress. All items I knew would work hard in my wardrobe.

My final piece chosen this month was this fabulous short sleeve button jumpsuit which is now just £34 in the sale. I have already worn it so much as it’s such an easy throw on and will take you from day to night with a switch of your shoes.
The best thing about this jumpsuit is it’s ability to take you from day to night. Pop on a pair of heels and a smarter bag and you’re good to go. I am wearing my usual size UK 6 and rolled the bottoms to achieve the right length.
The other thing that I wanted to alert you to this month is Topshop’s new Premier Delivery Service which costs £9.95 for an entire year of next day delivery. I think it’s such good value considering what postage normally costs. You can sign up for it here.
So that’s it for this month’s selection. I hope you agree that they are items that I will wear and wear again. As some of you may know, next month’s collaboration with Topshop falls within my ‘No New’ September pledge to Oxfam. So I have decided that I will sell the pieces I choose next month over on my Instagram and the money will be donated to charity. So do keep an eye out for that.
Here is a sneak peek at the pieces I have my eye on..
Thanks for reading.

Hi Chloe,
Loved this post…
The prairie top is my favourite. Is it cropped? Could I wear it with medium waisted jeans? I don’t like my tummy showing anymore as I’m 50 and my daughter would be …. MUM Noooo
😂
Thank you x
No it should be fine with medium wasted I think… def not cropped xxx
