The Ruffle Bardot Midi dress #ad

I am thrilled to be working with Topshop for the next few months, and with holiday season just around the corner, I thought I would focus on holiday dresses in this month’s edit. We are ridiculously excited for our holiday this year, as we are heading to Bali. For the last four years we have spent our annual summer holiday in Kefalonia, and as much as we love it there, it felt like it was time for a change and bit of a family adventure. There’s so much of the world that I haven’t seen and now that the children are a little bit older, the idea of sitting on an aeroplane for 18 hours is almost as exciting as the holiday itself. I cannot wait to experience a new part of the world with them and introduce them to a culture that is so different from their own.

I always find that the build up to a holiday is almost as exciting as the holiday itself, so the girls and I have already started to plan our holiday wardrobes. It’ll come as no surprise that my girls enjoy a spot of shopping, and Topshop is one of the few shops where we can go shopping together and I feel confident that there will be something for everyone. (Milla is still too small for the clothes, so she sticks to accessories)

We went along to the Oxford Street store, and I immediately spotted this Ruffle Bardot Midi dress for me. This has to be one of my favourite styles of dresses to take on a summer holiday and this blush pink version will definitely be coming with me to Bali. I’ll always try to avoid wearing a bra on holiday, so this style of dress is perfect as the bardot ruffle across the chest allows you to ditch the bra and show off your sun-kissed shoulders.

The linen/viscose mix gives the dress a lovely weight and drape and linen is always a good choice for a hot holiday. I am wearing a size 8 and I am 5’4 and the dress is a good length on me. It does also come in a mini dress version and maternity.

There are a few other pieces that I tried on and loved. I haven’t had a chance to shoot this blue floral sleeveless dress that came home with me yet, but it’s so beautiful on and I think it will sell out quickly, so thought I would flag it up on this post. It’s the sort of dress I would throw on with trainers or sandals for everyday wear, but it would work just as well dressed up for a wedding with these Strippy white heeled sandals.

Floral Sleeveless Dress – £39
Yellow Broderie Mini Dress – £39

This yellow broderie mini dress has just dropped, and is an absolute steal for £39. The white loop detail around the neckline is very Zimmerman and it’s the sort of dress that could easily pass for a designer piece. I predict another sell-out with this dress.

Here are a few other pieces that caught my eye.

If blush pink isn’t your colour, it also comes in black.

Black Bardot Dress – £39

The other piece that came home with me was this wrap blouse. I paired it with these wide leg jeans to try on. I loved the sleeve and thought it would look great with a pair of denim shorts on holiday or now with jeans for every day.

White Wrap Blouse – £25

Well that’s all for now. Let’s hope the weather cheers up a bit so we can actually wear all our summer favourites! Thanks for reading.

Beautiful! Do you have any tips for Kefalonia? We have one day there en route to Athens next month!

It’s all so beautiful – our favourite place to eat is Vinaries. And don’t miss the turtles in Argostoli! x
