Anyone else feeling slightly frazzled just looking at the diary for the next couple of weeks?! Two of mine still have three weeks of school left, and the cracks are starting to show, so I am trying to boost them with vitamins and ginger filled smoothies to keep the lurgies at bay. I’ve been giving them the Pukka Elderberry Syrup and Bassetts chewables – but if anyone has anything better they can recommend, please do leave a comment below. I am all ears.

Liv returned from an incredible week in France last night. She came back with so many fun-filled memories and stories, but without her voice! I think she might have averaged 5 hours of sleep over the 4 days. Milla only has a few weeks left of Primary school and I feel tearful just thinking about it. She is playing the role of Mary Poppins in the school production, and also has her end of year ballet show in the same week which will be a total of 5 performances. Something tells me she’s going to need a holiday and I am going to need more than a few packs of tissues!

I am boosting myself with raw hunks of ginger (at first I found it so strong, but now I am used to it) and have been taking the Perricone MD powders. I was gifted a box of both the Acai Berry (found them at John Lewis for 15% less than the RRP) and Super Greens when I went to Bicester Village with Perricone and liked them so much that I have since purchased another couple of boxes. I mix the two powders together and they are not at all unpleasant to drink.

This week I have focussed on finding pieces that I think are good sale buys. Items that I believe would easily serve up 30 wears. It’s amazing how many times this week I have thought, ‘ooh that’s lovely, but I probably wouldn’t wear it thirty times’ It’s such a simple but effective way to approach your wardrobe.

  1. Bloom and Blossom Roald Dahl Handwash – £3.99 or £15 for a box of 5 – Bloom and Blossom have teamed up with the Roald Dahl Story Company to produce these 98% natural handwashes. They are also proudly supporting Beauty Banks. Their mission is to get essential toiletries to people in need across the UK. They are donating one of their new hand washes for every hand wash purchased through their website until 31st July 2019. *I received these as a press sample this week and am very happy to spread the word* Needless to say ‘Charlie’s Glorious Handwash’ in Toasted Marshmallow was Charlie’s favourite.
  2. Elizabeth Scarlett Pouches – I adore everything from Elizabeth Scarlett and ordered myself a couple of pouches for packing holiday essentials. The ones I bought were on offer, and they also have lots of items on sale, so worth having a look. If you use this code you will get £10 off when you spend £40. http://elizabethscarlett.refr.cc/chloes
  3. Altruist Suncream – £8 for 2 x 200ml – I don’t know about you, but we are really getting through the suncream at the moment. For holidays, I usually buy Ultra-Sun, but for every day use during term time, we use this Altruist Suncream which I discovered last year. It’s really inexpensive but VERY good. Altruist is a not-for-profit, 5 star SPF30 and SPF50 quality sunscreen range developed by a leading British dermatologist and skin surgeon. It’s retailed exclusively through Amazon at the lowest possible price, so that everyone can afford to be UV safe and help to reduce the incidence of skin cancer.
  4. Whistles Trench Coat – Was £199 reduced to £129 – This would be such a great sale buy (I think only size Medium left on the Whistles website, but don’t forget to check John Lewis too.)
  5. Khaki Shacket – New Look £29.99 – I spotted a couple of shackets in New Look the other day. If you don’t own a khaki jacket of some description, you really should think about getting one. It will go with absolutely everything and is the perfect cover for Summer. They also have this one (£32.99 just back in stock) which is lovely. If you have a little more to spend, then have a look at this one from Free People (£140)
  6. White Linen Cropped Trousers – Hobbs reduced from £85 to £65. Okay, I will admit that Hobbs is not somewhere I usually look, but I promised that I would search for a pair of white linen crop trousers this week, as the pair I have been wearing are no longer available. They are such a great alternative to jeans, and perfect for summer. This pair from Whistles look lovely too. (£99)

  1. Yolke Cotton PJs from The Outnet – Was £145 now £47.50 – The Outnet have 40% extra off certain items at the moment (to see the full selection click here) and I thought these pjs were an absolute steal.
  2. Denim Jumpsuit from Mint Velvet – Was £109 now £59 (sizes 12-18 left)
  3. Vita Liberata Beauty Blur Sunless Glow Self Tanning Tinted Moisturiser, 30ml, Latte – £32.50 – I have had lots of people asking me recently why I look so tanned. I never put my face in the sun (my hat has been firmly on my head for the last few days) so this is my secret. I was sent this to try recently and found it a little too much used as a tinted moisturiser (I have latte, so perhaps latte light might have been better?) but I mix the smallest amount in with my foundation in the morning and it gives just enough of a subtle glow. A glow that seems to develop throughout the day, but one that doesn’t stick around so I use a little every day.
  4. Raffia sandals from Zara Home – Reduced to £17.99 – Don’t forget to look at Zara home during sale time. Infinitely better than ‘Zara Zara.’ I bought my hat for £12.99 and also spotted these lovely sandals.
  5. Black embellished Joggers – Mint Velvet Was £79 now £39 – I have an 18 hour flight on my mind, and thought these would be the perfect travel trousers. They have all the comfort of a normal pair of joggers, but they look much smarter, plus they are a bargain. If my size weren’t out of stock I would definitely be buying them.
  6. Paperbag shorts Mint Velvet – Were £69 now £39 – When I started writing this blog these shorts were available in most sizes. It’s now 5 hours later and there are only size 18 left, but I haven’t got the energy to re-do the image above, so here are some others for you to look at. I really enjoy wearing shorts on holiday and a neutral pair would look great with a simple white linen tee (or shirt) and sandals. Speaking of white linen shirts, I need to replace mine (it has a big yellow stain I can’t get out) before we go away as it’s an absolute holiday essential for me. I usually size up for a more relaxed fit. I really liked this shirt in All Saints (super soft) reduced from £98 to £49 but I think I am going to buy this one that is reduced from £88 to £61.

Well, that’s all for today. I hope you like these hotch-potch posts. I think they are the ones I enjoy writing the most!

Thanks for reading.
