Topshop Denim – something for everyone #AD

I have always been a huge fan of Topshop denim, arguably the best denim on the high street and with so many styles to choose from, there is something to suit everyone. I have two new favourite styles. The Editor jeans and the Straight. These days I prefer a slim but not skinny leg and both styles are really flattering on the bottom.

WASHED BLACK STRAIGHT LEG

I would probably opt for another inch on these jeans – at the time of shopping and shooting for this post, there were limited sizes available. These are a 30 leg and in an ideal world I would go for a 32 inch leg and chop them myself to achieve the perfect length. I do think it slightly depends what shoes you are wearing with them, as if I swapped the pumps for a pair of boots they would probably be the perfect length. Come the summer when you have more of your foot/ankle on show, I find the length needs to come down a little.

I really love this Giraffe print shirt. It’s a lovely, eye-catching print and has a really lovely neckline – the perfect day to night shirt. I also really loved this Zebra print shirt which is new in.

MOTO STRAIGHT LEG

These are the Straight Jeans in Mid Stone Blue. I bought these last year (some of you may remember me singing their praises) and have worn them so much. They are also high rise and straight leg, but as you can see they have a slightly more tapered leg. Unlike the Editor jeans, they contain 1% elastene so they do stretch. I would make sure they are really tight when you buy them as they give with wear. They are my perfect weekend jeans as they have a slightly more relaxed feel. I am wearing them with a red animal spot shirt and my Veja trainers, but if red’s not your colour picture this same outfit with this gorgeous paisley shirt below for an injection of Spring freshness in your wardrobe.

MID BLUE EDITOR JEANS

And finally, these are the Editor jeans in a mid blue. They are a high rise, straight leg and because they don’t contain any stretch (100% cotton) they hold their shape. I would say this makes them slightly smarter than the straight leg pair above which is a softer denim. No stretch means that you need to take your usual size or the size above. I am wearing a size 24/30 here and they are were slightly too tight on my waist. I would probably need to size up for a more comfortable fit.

While I am here, I thought I would share a few other pieces that are new in at Topshop and would be ideal to pair with your denim. I find the good pieces do tend to sell out quickly, so you do have to be pretty quick off the mark with Topshop.

Ivory Jacket – £39

The perfect white blazer to smarten up your blue jeans and heels for an evening out.

Fisherman Jacket – £49

For a slightly more relaxed look, pair your denim with this Fisherman jacket and a white tee. This kind of jacket is SO useful in the Spring.

Abstract Print Shirt – £35

Spotted this shirt and thought it would look so good with a pair of black jeans.

Are you a fan of Topshop Denim? Have you tried the new Editor Style? Would love to know what you think!

I’ve not tried toppers denim, but it certainly deserves to be checked out.
I love your outfit with the giraffe shirt, and I plan to channel it this weekend at a reception for my BIL (he’s been a part time fireman for 25 years). It’s one of those things where it probably won’t be too dressy, and my version will be in shades of blue with a pop of red.
