It’s SIX weeks until Xmas! And you and I both know how quickly those weeks will disappear. Before we know it, we’ll be scrabbling around for nativity costumes and struggling to find a date free to grab a mulled wine with friends.
Whether you’re a ‘Xmas Eve-one-stop -shopper’ or someone that likes to have it all done and dusted by the 1st of December, it’s definitely time to start thinking about your own Christmas wish list. My husband likes me to give him a little list of a few things that I’d like so that he can pick one or two things off the list and there’s still an element of surprise. He also likes a one stop shop to make it easy for him. I often just point him in the direction of The White Company, because, truthfully, I’ve never received a TWC gift I didn’t love.
To me nothing says Christmas quite like The White Company. It’s always been one of my favourite places to shop for gifts, and it’s the one brochure that drops through the door that I read cover to cover. (So you can imagine how excited I was to be asked to work with them!)
Every time I’ve been to the new The White Company store in Westfield recently, I leave desperate to get home, put up the Xmas tree, paint everything white, spray ‘Winter‘ in every room and put new sheets on the beds! Oh and maybe have just one more baby… JUST kidding!
I think finding a beautiful pair of silk pyjamas under the tree on Xmas day would make most of us very happy. They’re an indulgent, luxury item that many of us would think twice about buying for ourselves, which for me is the definition of the perfect gift. It should be something that person would love but would hesitate to buy for themselves.
I asked Father Christmas for my first pair of silk pyjamas a couple of years ago (some of you may even remember them!) and they are still my favourite winter pyjamas despite not looking quite as pristine as they did back then. You just can’t beat the feeling of silk against your skin at night. Sleeping in silk doesn’t just make you feel like royalty, it’s also brilliant for regulating your body temperature. Silk keeps you warm when you’re cold and cool when you’re warm and being comfortable in your nightwear is key to getting a good night’s sleep.
The pyjamas that I am wearing are the pale pink, piped silk pyjama set. I really love the bottoms, which have a working drawer string for maximum comfort and ease. So good I can’t wait to get them in and out of the wash. And just on a practical note, (you know me, practicality is always high on my agenda) I wash my silk pyjamas on a cool handwash setting in the machine, but ideally you should hand wash separately.
So, ladies…take the Christmas shopping stress away from your partners, start writing those wish lists and seriously consider putting a beautiful pair of silk pyjamas right at the very top. And wouldn’t it be nice if they came with a promise of breakfast in bed every Sunday. Yeah, ok, wishful thinking!

I’d love a pair of silk pj’s! Mine are cotton and are great, but a silk pair would be the next level – like clean sheets only better! I love that you can machine wash, but how about ironing?
I actually steal mine… does that make me really sad?! 😂
I hope you don’t need to ‘steal’ yours Chloe! 😂 But actually another great Christmas list idea – a steamer??! Xx
Oh my goodness. Steam !!! 😂 I promise I don’t steal 🙈
You should never steal Chloe – very naughty! No silk pj’s off Santa for you! 😂
😂😂Can’t believe I wrote steal not steam 🙈😂
It doesnt make you sad, just means you enjoy the experience more! A steamer is on my wish list, I want one that can do horisontal as well as critical!
Vertical, not critical! 😂
