A slightly strange blog post from me this week. I wanted to share a few new purchases. It’s a real hotchpotch with no theme, but hopefully all really useful buys.
I have had my eye on these boots for weeks. I even went in store and tried them on TWICE. And when I spotted Dune had 25% off I took the plunge. They are so comfortable and I am really pleased with them.

2. River Island Turtle Neck – £26
This top is such a bargain. I have had so many people ask me where it’s from (including Trish McEvoy!) and it looks way more expensive than it is with it’s little puff sleeve. I have actually bought it in black too.
We are off to Ascot tomorrow and I suddenly realised that none of my children owned any shoes other than trainers. I bought these for Charlie, they look great and are really comfortable. I know this, because he wouldn’t wear them if they weren’t. He is REALLY fussy about clothes.
4. Milla’s fur coat from Outside the Lines – £58
Outside the Lines has been a firm favourite for girls clothes since it launched. Liv has outgrown their range, but luckily Milla is still a good age, as they have such beautiful clothes for girls that aren’t too outrageously priced.
5. Milla’s tights from Next – £7.50
Okay, these have to be our best discovery this week. They are so soft, warm and NOT ITCHY! I repeat, not itchy. I am on a quest to find them in adult size because these I would wear.
Sparkle Jumper River Island £34 / Jeans River Island – £35
I was tempted by the ‘Sparkle’ jumper, but seduced by the jeans. River Island do surprisingly good high street jeans.
6. A silk pillow case from John Lewis – £45
I have noticed a real difference to my hair since sleeping on a silk pillowcase. I also don’t get those lines on my face when I wake up. I am beginning to wonder if I will ever be able to sleep on a cotton pillow case again! It’s a lovely feeling having your face against silk.
I tried this amazing fur coat on in M&S. It’s the most beautiful shade of blue and really soft. I definitely don’t have room for any more fur coats, but I thought it was worth sharing as it’s a little different.
7. A Turtle Mat from John Lewis – £29.95
The cats have been leaving little muddy paw prints all over the kitchen tiles and our white bedlinen, so I took to stories to ask if anyone had a solution. There was a resounding ‘Yes, Turtle Mat!’ from so many of you, so off I went to John Lewis and I have to say it has made a real difference. It really does seem to trap the dirt.
Another little Instagram poll recently was to find out the best mattress to buy for Charlie’s bed. The majority said an Emma Mattress, so I listened and bought one. I have had the pleasure of sleeping in his bed recently (you know, musical beds!) and it’s really comfortable. It arrives rolled up and when you take the wrapping off, it pings into an amazingly sturdy mattress. Anyway, I spotted them on Brand Alley today, so if you are in the market for a new mattress, they are worth checking out. Emma Mattress at Brand Alley – 30% off
That’s all for today. We have a jampacked weekend and a poorly Milla, so it’s going to be a little bit of a juggle. Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
Love
