I LOVE Lisa Marie Fernandez designs, but with her dresses carrying price tags ranging between £600 and £900, I can dream on… Or I can find a similar look on the high street. You’ll never guess what I found today?! A skirt with LMF vibes for £45… I know! I can’t even describe the thrill when I find something like this. It’s like I have hit the jackpot…

Top old M&S / Skirt Monsoon / Bag Raefeather / Sandals Leatheropolis / Earrings Pomme Pomme London

Right, a practical word about the skirt. I am wearing a size small. I am 5’5 and it’s a good length on me. It IS slightly see-through but nothing your comfy nude knickers won’t sort… The top I am wearing needed to be tucked in and you can see the excess top above if you look carefully. I tried it on with a navy Isabel Marant light cotton blouse I have from years ago and it looked great, so I think navy on top would work really well.

I found the skirt when I went to Monsoon to pick up the gingham dress which I had ordered. It’s absolutely beautiful (apparently named after Dolly Alderton) but it’s almost identical to my daughter’s school dress and I just can’t get that out of my head so I decided to leave it behind. There were a few other gems I spotted in Monsoon, this dress being one of them. It looks WAY more expensive than it’s price tag. (Those shoes they’ve styled the dress with actually made me shudder, I would wear with a simple leather sandal)

Monsoon RicRac Dress – £60

There were a few items in the sale that I thought looked like good buys…In particular that green dress. It’s such a beautiful colour.  Also loved the little Mexican inspired embroidered blouse.

You simply cannot title a blog post ‘rickrack revivial’ without including some other high street rickrack finds…So here go…

 Boden – Was £70 now £35

Next – £40

Monsoon Now – £29.50

Okay technically no proper rickrack but how gorgeous is that for £29.50??

Rick Rack Top – £39

Absolutely love this top…I tell you what, if I have learnt anything through my time as a fashion blogger it’s self-restraint!

Red Dress with White Rickrack – £45

And finally a few Etsy vintage finds which are one offs, so they may have disappeared by the time you click on these links..Yes the Inika Choo meets Lisa Marie Fernandez blue dress is a bit mad, but kindof beautiful!

Thanks for reading and happy shopping.

That skirt is amazing, i had to look closely to see it wasn’t the same as the way more expensive version. It looks lovely with your top too. I may be having a closer look at Monsoon!
