Summer Dresses

Finally, the sunshine has made an appearance in the UK which means it’s time to get the summer clothes down, have a good sort out and make way for a few new pieces. I have so many clothes that I need to sell (I have set up a Depop account called ‘chloelovestoshop’ and plan to list them on there) and a few that I can pass on to my eldest daughter Liv. She is almost the same size as me now, which means I can pass on all the slightly too tight/short/ skimpy summer bits that I have been hanging onto. It’s a funny old thing seeing your daughter wearing your clothes, but I am not complaining, it saves me kitting her out with an entirely new wardrobe!

Anyway, the sunshine got me thinking about summer dresses and all the lovely ones I have spotted recently. So here are my current favourites.

1. Mango / 2-3 Warehouse / 4. Boden /5. La Redoute /6. Free People

(I tried on the Mango dress this week – you’d have to imagine with a pair of slides)

Free People Dress

I ordered this white Free People dress  and it has just arrived- it’s really lovely. Perfect for holidays. I have ordered an inexpensive white swimming costume from ASOS to wear underneath it. (Tanned back courtesy of Bondi Sands)

1. J Crew / 2. Next /3. Next /4. Topshop / 5. Next

I love these dresses from Next. Well priced and great lengths. The polka dot dress from Topshop is new in and cute for holidays.

OCCASION DRESSES

1. Rixo / 2. Lily and Lionel / 3. Ganni

The Santorini dress from Lily and Lionel has been on my wish list for some time. I need to sell a few bits in order to justify the cost but it’s absolutely beautiful.

I hope you have managed to enjoy the sunshine today, if you are in the UK.  We spent the afternoon in our woefully neglected garden with a round of Fabs. I am desperate to open up the bi-folds as our kitchen gets really warm, but Simba isn’t allowed out until he has had all his jabs so the poor thing has been miaowing in protest all afternoon. Hopefully it won’t be too long! I am going to make the most of the sunshine and pop out for a glass of rose with a girlfriend who lives locally (I am so lucky to have my mum to bbsit at the drop of a hat!) and am wearing my Hush kimono. I have actually been using it as a dressing gown, but it’s so beautiful I thought it could double up as a nice cover up for balmy Summer evenings!

Anyway, have a lovely evening and thanks for reading.
Love,

Chloe x

Hush Kimono / Vest Topshop (old but similar here)  / Jeans ASOS / Slides ASOS
