A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the founder of Seven Boot Lane, Mais Edwards. Mais is a fellow mum of three, so I loved chatting to her about how she manages to run such a successful business and juggle life with a family of five. It got me thinking about all the inspiring women that I’ve been lucky enough to know over the years, who manage to run their own businesses whilst running a tight and happy ship at home, and I think they all have a few personality traits in common. It goes without saying that they are bright and creative, but the traits that really stand out for me are that they are calm, patient and above all, kind. So I’m going with that as a good recipe for success!
Mais and her husband Sebastian decided to combine their experiences of marketing and the footwear industry and set up Seven Boot Lane in 2012. Mais was born in Andalucia and spent many years living in Spain, so when they decided to create their own label, Spain seemed the obvious place to find their factory. Their quest to find the perfect boot factory led them to Elche, one of Europe’s longest established shoe-making towns. The factory is also run by a family, who Mais has a wonderful relationship with. They are incredibly skilled artisans and have meticulous attention to detail and quality, something that is very important to Mais and her husband, who wanted to produce shoes that were not only extremely comfortable, but made to last. The factory used to be a cowboy boot factory, so there are some wonderful western influences in their designs. (I particularly love the detail on the back of the Karma, which you will see below)

The label was created with a desire to honour slow-fashion and to encourage thoughtful shopping. True to the trends but always treading their own path, Seven Boot Lane curate two considered collections a year with styles that will stand the test of time both in quality and design. I am delighted to tell you that Seven Boot Lane are offering readers of my blog a 15% discount for one week commencing 14th October. Simply enter CHLOELOVES15 at checkout.
I am wearing the ‘Kitty‘ in classic black leather, but I was very tempted by the metallic and grey snake-print.

They also have a new style called the ‘Karma’ which is an ankle boot with a twist. A low cut Chelsea with a classic running outsole giving the shoe a luxury sports feel.
And for those dipping into the chunky boot trend this season, these leather hiking boots are sure to stand the test of time.

It really isn’t a surprise that Seven Boot Lane has grown such a loyal following over the years. They are fast becoming the blogger’s favourites and if you ask anyone who owns a pair if they enjoy wearing their boots, I bet the first thing they will say is ‘they are SOOOOOO comfy’. I have had mine on all day today, and they are still on my feet at 21.24 PM as I type this blog. Now that is testament to how comfortable they are, as I have a pair of snuggly sheepskin slippers upstairs!
Happy Shopping.
