Okay, so technically it IS still Summer, but when you live in the UK, you are constantly reminded that Autumn is not that far away. That means we can start thinking about transitioning our wardrobes into the next season with a few key purchases. I will be doing a series of posts, that will focus on the key items that I think you need in your Autumn/Winter wardrobe. Let’s kick it off with number 1 on my list. Trainers.
These days, my default footwear is a pair of trainers. I often have to force myself to wear my other, shall we say, ‘less comfortable’ shoes. But if like me, you really do live in trainers, then why not treat yourself to a sparkly new pair this Autumn? There are so many options out there, so I have done a little edit of my favourites to narrow down the choice for you. You could add sparkle or colour to your collection. You might even consider ‘investing’ in a pair of designer trainers. I did this last year with a pair of silver Golden Goose. (you can read about this here) A purchase I have never regretted. They make me feel like a million dollars when I wear them. Whoever thought trainers could do that ?
I was lucky enough to be gifted the new Nike Cortez trainers at a Nike event I went to. They are really comfortable and very light on your feet. Love this blue/grey version.
I have ordered these trainers for my daughter. Such a bargain at £24.99 but be warned, they are not leather.
These would be my dream trainers for this A/W. Crazy money, I know, but that colour is just beautiful. And they are VELVET. It doesn’t get much better.
Three classics. Timeless and really comfortable. The converse are sleek and look great with dresses. Stans go with everything and Vans are trending this season.
I love colourful trainers, and think I might have a pink shaped trainer hole in my wardrobe, so I have focussed on pink. But all of these options come in a variety of different colours so you can choose your favourite.
Both pairs of pink gazelles are currently 25% off with the code BIG25 at La Redoute (PS. it’s 25 % off everything)
Hi Chloe, this is a great little post, are you planning to do a few more? This time of the year is really hard to dress for! I’m in Dublin and its quite muggy and warm, but rainy etc. so defo feel that Autumn is on the way! A few nice ideas for AW would be good, even to remind us how to wear our ankle boots & jeans etc!! LOL
LOVE your blog. Keep up the great work.
