Transitioning your wardrobe into Autumn – The Blazer

There is one item in my wardrobe that is guaranteed to make me feel pulled together and a little bit chic and that’s my blazer. It has the power to turn my ‘mum kit’ of jeans and a tee into a slick outfit that’s ready for almost every occasion. The blazer is everyone woman’s secret weapon. Do you ever have a ‘nothing to wear’ day? Throw on your blazer with a pair of jeans and loafers and you’re good to go. With temperatures starting to drop and a little chill creeping into the air, there couldn’t be a better time to get your blazer out. And let’s not forget that this isn’t a seasonal item, it’s an all year round wardrobe staple, so it is worth investing if you can. And when I say ‘invest’ I don’t just mean your pennies, it’s your time too. Finding a blazer that works for your shape can take time. Do you prefer the oversized look, or do you like it to nip you in at the waist? I tend to favour more fitted shapes because I am petite and anything too boxy drowns my frame, but if you are tall then you can carry off  the oversized look. Here are a few ways to style… All images via Pinterest

Pimp Your Blazer

I fell in love with these Godert Pins at a press day and cannot wait to get my hands on a set. Such a cool way to add a little something special to your blazer, or indeed any jacket you have. They would make a lovely gift for a girlfriend too.

I do love a good Blazer ! You are so spot on, it really does create an instant outfit.
Emanuelle Alt is my style Icon (after you of course !), I love how she looks so chic in her Blazer/jacket, jeans combo.
Thanks for the pointers, I love the Theory one ……typically one of the more expensive ones !
