In a few weeks time, I will be celebrating my 40th birthday with a small group of great friends in Ibiza. I thought long and hard about what I wanted to do to celebrate my big number, and while I absolutely LOVE going to parties and getting my dancing shoes on, I decided that I wouldn’t enjoy having my own big bash. Far too much pressure! A childfree weekend away in Ibiza with a small group of close friends seemed the perfect way to celebrate and I have no doubt our weekend will involve a LOT of dancing. 🙂 My lovely husband is the King of Organisation and has been planning this little celebration for over a year, so I am very excited and feel very spoilt! Of course this means an opportunity to buy something new to wear and for some strange reason, I have become completely fixated on wearing a green dress. I think it started when I fell in love with this green dress from Realisation Par, but I decided not to go down the US postage route. The item ends up costing double what you paid for it once you have paid all the taxes and import duties and it seems a little crazy to overpay when we have so much on offer here in the UK. So, my quest for a green dress began. I am not even sure green is my colour and this may be an obsession that falls away as quickly as it came about once the dresses arrive! But I have started so I’ll finish… Sitting at number 1 of my green dress findings, is this dress from a brand called Weekday. It’s not a brand that I have bought before, but it came up in my search and I started to wonder why I hadn’t. Their designs are simple, clean and classic. So I thought I would share my little find with all of you with an edit of my favourite pieces.
I am really keen to try the jeans and love any brand that caters for a shorter leg length. I noticed that they have just opened up their first shop in Regent Street, so I might try and do a little research trip once the children are back at school. Otherwise online orders over £100 are free. Worth filling up the basket for the free postage, having a big try on sesh at home and sending back what doesn’t work.
The other green dress I have winging it’s way to me is this one from Topshop. Not quite Realisation Par, but not far off and probably a little more ‘me’ where length is concerned.
And finally, this is the other dress that I have been eyeing up for one of our Ibizan nights out.
Have you shopped at Weekday before? I would love to hear what you think if you have ?
Happy Shopping and thanks for reading.
Love,
