Hi my name is Chloé and I am addicted to buying jeans. But I feel it’s a justified addiction, because it’s actually more of an eternal quest to find the perfect pair. My problem is usually length (I’m 5’4 for those that don’t know) and I don’t have much of a derriere… (In fact it’s looking a bit like someone’s taken the frying pan to it lately!) So I have been trying to find a pair of jeans that give the illusion of curves and that didn’t need chopping, because I often lose the shape of the leg when I chop.
The good news is that I am getting closer with this pair and didn’t need to spend a fortune.
Another purchase was this red blouse from Mango. I love pairing red with light blue denim and this is an inexpensive wardrobe update for £19.99. It also comes in a white version, which is very pretty.
Another Mango purchase was this stripe blouse. I fell in love with the ruffle sleeves and the back, which gives a lovely window into a summer tan, but cleverly hides any bra straps. Ruffles are everywhere this season, and in the right places they can look so chic and elegant. I have to admit that I have struggled a bit with ruffles in the past and tend to prefer then when they are on sleeves instead of on the body, but it completely depends on the fabric and the size of the ruffle.
I have been looking for a long black and white polka dot dress for a while now, but everything I had found was polyester, and as you probably know by now, I will try and avoid wearing it, if I can. So I was thrilled to find this dress which is 96% viscose AND comes in a Petite version, which meant that I didn’t need to have it taken up. Always a bonus…
That’s my little high street haul. As always, thanks for reading.
Love,
Chloe x
Hi Chloe
Have recently started following you and have to say you have been a fashion inspiration Would like to ask you what your J brand jeans are? Feel jeans are always a nightmare to buy , have to say did buy your recommendation jeans from H &M love them so much !
Aah thank you so much Clare. My J Brand are the Selena Crop – great for petites. The H&M ones are great aren’t they? I do find that they lose their shape after a day spent in them but I suppose I can’t expect much more for the price..
