The children went back to school today (HURRAH!) so naturally I hit the shops once I had dropped them off. I thought I would share my picks from Topshop, Mango, M&S and Next with you.
Starting with Topshop.
This is really pretty but it is well above the knee (and I am 5’4) so would be great for a summer holiday, or worn over jeans in the city. It has a belt, but I preferred it without. This is a size 8, I would advise sizing up one. I don’t think this is online yet.
I also really loved this pink top, but it’s very short in the body, so would need to be worn with high waisted trousers. Very designer looking and selling fast *they didn’t have my size.
This top is finally online. And for those who watch Loose Women, my lovely friend Christine Lampard is wearing it today!
Next, onto Mango.
This is a lovely dress for the summer. This was a size 8. Again, fairly short, so wear with jeans (as below) if you are not keen on your knees…
If you like prints, this is a really lovely dress for summer. But SIZE UP. I am usually an XS in Mango and I needed a medium.
A lovely little jumpsuit, BUT, I would want to wear a little black vest underneath to avoid stomach peeping through.
I had spotted this on the gorgeous Kat (@doesmybumlook40) so I went to try it on. This was a size 10 and a snug fit. I felt the white slip underneath cheapened the dress, but thought it would look beautiful with a nude slip underneath instead. Or without a slip over a bikini on holiday. It’s called a ‘Midi’ Dress, but as you can see it is full length on me. Story of my life!
If anyone is in need of a swimsuit – this is a really lovely shape and reminds me of an Eres swimsuit at a fraction of the cost.
Just one more thing I spotted this morning, this gorgeous duvet set which is incredibly soft and looks like something you’d find in a very expensive boutique selling beautiful Indian wares.
Moving onto Next…
Great quality, but I felt it was missing pockets!
I also have my eye on this, which is due to arrive early May.
*Please forgive the awful changing room lighting!*
