It’s no secret that I am a big fan of trainers. These days, I’m either running to get the kids into school on time or across town to meetings and back in time for pickup, so comfy footwear is an absolute must. If I have to be on foot for more than a few minutes, I almost always leave the house in a pair of trainers and carry my changeover shoes in a bag.
Nike has just released its second ever Air Max trainer for women, the Air Max Jewell. I needed a new pair of trainers that I could wear to boxing, but wanted a pair that I would be able to wear with casual clothes too. The Air Max Jewell seemed like the perfect solution. They were comfortable the minute I put them on and so light on my foot it barely felt like I was wearing any shoes.
They are sleek and lightweight and I love the simplicity of the design. The sort of trainers that will slot into your off duty wardrobe seamlessly and they’ll also look great with an office outfit, when you need to pop on your ‘commuter’ shoes. As you can see below, I’ve styled them a few different ways, including a smarter office look, and if you accidentally forgot your work shoes, it wouldn’t be the end of the world! In fact, I think people might think this was your ‘look’…Apparently all the chic Parisian ladies are wearing trainers with every outfit…
I was sitting in the hairdressers this week and had the chance to flick through Grazia magazine. I was very excited to see the trainers I had on at number 1 in their Fashion Charts. It’s always nice to get a little affirmation that you’ve chosen well.
I don’t like to wear trainers without socks, so I have been wearing mine with trainer socks and there’s been no sock-slippage. (A pet hate of mine)
Size wise, I took my usual size 38 and they are a snug but very comfortable fit. The breathable mesh upper feels like it has a little stretch to it. They retail at £80 – about right for a high quality pair of trainers that will slot into your wardrobe with ease.
So don’t mind me while I #Kissmyairs!
