Crushing on Burgundy

I love all things Burgundy.  As some readers of my blog will know, my father-in- law lives in the Burgundy region of France and my husband is a Burgundian wine oenophile, but as wine is off the menu (detoxing after a very indulgent few days in New York) let’s talk about the colour instead. It’s such a rich and warm alternative to black in the winter and there’s quite a bit of it about!

Here’s my burgundy edit of what’s available right now. I *may* have ordered two things off this selection. Argh, blogging is so BAD for my bank balance…

I will be pairing my burgundy purchases with pale pink. I think the two colours look so good together, as seen here on two of my favourite bloggers, Alex from The Frugality and Fran from The Fashion Lift.

And here are some inspiration shots to get you in the burgundy mood. And if you prefer to drink it, I can highly recommend anything from Domaine de Leroy!! 😉
